We love… Overrun Ovarian Cancer Foundation!
Why? What’s not to love? With a mission to invest their time and energy to reducing the pain of loss to ovarian cancer, they see to raising funds for research and spreading awareness. In short, they’re doing awesome work.
While this is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, the fight is a 365 day challenge. Overrun Ovarian Cancer understands this more than most. They even have a race coming up on November 2nd!
Here are the important details:
The Blue Valley Recreation Complex – 9701 West 137th Street Overland Park, KS 66221
Participants will enjoy a beautiful, fast course with a downhill finish, age group awards, long sleeve t-shirts, kids’ race, Teal Cam, face painter, and fantastic finish line festival.
You may run or walk the 5K. Registration is from 7am-8am and the racing (or walking) starts at 8:30am.
So if you’re in the Kansas City area, we highly encourage you to join… and if you’re not an early bird on Sunday mornings… go anyway! Nothing like people coming together for a common (and important) cause to get you jazzed up and the blood pumping!
